They enable high performance to feed castings in iron, steel and all the alloys of these metals, molded in sand and other systems. Raw Material Selection: Exothermic sleeves are the basic and important fundamental in the process of casting so it is very necessary to make perfect and careful selection of raw material to manufacture the sleeves to ensure that they give proper results and low maintenance for a hassle free pre & post process of casting. This procedure starts with
• Refractory Materials- Exothermic sleeves should have higher capacity to tolerate burning temperatures, thermal shocks, various chemical procedures. Aliumina is often choose to make sleeves due to its appropriate properties to withstand heat & insulation
• Metallic reducing Agents: Aluminum & ferrosilicon releases energy when heated which help as reducing agents and majorly helping exothermic reactions
• Binders: Refractory materials and other metallic components with maintaining the wholeness of exothermic sleeve.

HEAT TREATMENT: After the perfect drying process of sleeve it undergoes heat treatments to make it more heat persistent and tolerable. Under a controlled atmosphere the sleeve goes through inflated temperatures. This process enhances the strength, the quality, the capacity of the sleeves to sustain any conditions during the procedures of casting.
Binder burnouts- In this kind of treatment all binders are burn out completely.
• APPLY COATING:- Exothermic sleeves are made-up of very high quality raw materials but lastly the application of coating is a very crucial part of the entire manufacturing process the coating acts as a barrier between the Between the sleeves and the molten metal. The coating on the sleeves constantly takes precaution of premature ignition Of the exothermic reactions coating is usually given by graphite or other refractory materials.
